We’re Shaleen and Kaushik
Light Matter is our baby, because it’s something that was born out of our love and passion. We take pride in creating films and we know, the more soul and heart we put into each video, the more you’re going to love it.
We’re a husband and wife team that live and breath in the creative space. We get the kicks out of making films and sharing the day with all of you amazing couples! Shaleen and I got married in January of 2019, in the beautiful island of Fiji surrounded by our closest family and friends.

The technical details
We use four cameras (2x Canon EOS R’s and 2x Fuji X-T3’s) to capture your day. For the ceremony, we’ll set up two to three stationary cameras on tripods pointed at the bride, the groom and one camera roaming on a DJI Ronin S throughout the day.
Time-lapse footage captured by our 2 GoPro Hero 7 Black’s. We use a series of Canon lenses. We switch between the Canon 24-70 f2.8, Canon 70-200 f2.8, Canon 50mm f1.2, Canon 85mm f1,4, Canon 24-105 f4 and Canon 16-35 f2.8
We use a Zoom H6 Audio recorder to capture audio from the A/V systems and Tascam DR-10L Lavalier Microphones for the Bride and Groom.
If needed, we also have Aputure LED lights to brighten the scenes. This is almost always needed during the reception.
